Bucatini is a traditional Italian pasta made with wheat germ—the heart of the grain—which naturally adds flavor, texture, and nutritional value. Because of the wheat germ, you may notice the pasta water taking on a light green hue during cooking, a signature sign of this unique process.
This long, thin, tubular pasta is slowly dried for 36 hours at low temperatures to help preserve its natural taste and character. The name bucatini comes from the Italian word buco, meaning “hole,” and that hollow center is perfect for capturing sauces inside and out. Bucatini pairs especially well with rich tomato sauces, creamy dishes, or simple olive-oil-based recipes finished with Queen Creek Olive Mill Extra Virgin Olive Oils.
A favorite for classic Italian comfort meals, this pasta delivers depth, texture, and authentic craftsmanship in every bite.
