Blood Orange Olive Oil Brownies
Blood Orange & Dark Chocolate .... a great combination!
Yield: 6 servings
- 4 oz unsweetened chocolate
- 1 oz bittersweet chocolate
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup QCOM Blood Orange Olive Oil
- 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 x12 baking pan with parchment paper. On low heat, melt chocolate in saucepan, stirring constantly. Set aside to cool. In a separate bowl sift flour, baking powder and salt. Melt butter, add Blood Orange Olive Oil. Add one egg at a time. Add in the vanilla and then the chocolate. Fold in the dry ingredients and walnuts, don’t over mix the batter. Pour the mixture into pan smoothing off the top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until brownies pull away from the side of the pan.
